CYTOTOXICITY TEST

To validate all the treatments we apply to our dental implants, to control them is fundamental
the Cytotoxicity Test.
All the implants checked until now are not cytotoxic and they not induced negative effect on
the prime cellular layer.
Pic. 3 shows an example of cytotoxicity test made on one of our titanium dental implant.
The picture is obtained by Optic Microscope. The cells are coloured by dye blue
(blue toluidina) which is tied to the component polysaccarydic (the coloration is used only
to evidence the cells).
They appear as polygons coloured purple, with a central darkest zone (the zone of the nucleus).
The dark shade is the dental implant, obviously out focus because it is on a different focal layer.
What is important to observe is that the cells have a normal aspect, have grown up to create a dense tissue until
the proximity of the dental implant (direct contact). In case of toxic effects, areas few or not colonized by cells, or
suffering cells, or dead cells should appear.
